It was only just a few days ago, but Nintendo has announced that the latest Pokémon games coming out later this year is dubbed Pokémon Sword & Pokémon Shield!

While the announcement and its corresponding trailer didn't reveal TOO much about what we can expect from the game, what we do know is the name of the region: Galar. And looking at the map of the region, many fans (including myself) are speculating that the new region is based upon real-life Great Britain! I wonder if the Doctor may make an appearance... ;-)

These games are coming out on the Nintendo Switch, and to me at least, the trailer looks just as good graphics-wise as what the "Let's Go!" games. Many are hoping / wanting to know more (specifically, the ability to show a Pokémon following you around)! I'm really hoping that we will get more information soon. Nintendo has sparked the hype for these games, both in great enthusiasm and others that are just... meh... so Nintendo really needs to keep the flow coming. Hopefully, if they're smart, every 3 - 4 weeks we'll get some kind of new teaser. Some sort of "Hey, remember the new games coming, well check this little demo of what you can expect! Oh, and here is a brand-new Pokémon!"

Pokemon Sword & Shield Starters

Speaking of new Pokémon, they did introduce us to the three starters: the Grass-Type Grookey, the Fire-Type Scorbunny, and the Water-Type Sobble. All three definitely have the cute factor and there's already so much fan-art of the three out there on the internet. I know which one I'll be starting off with (hint: he's up in the leading image. (=^ェ^=) )

Check out the official trailer below, and let me know what you think. Are you excited for the next Pokémon Journey? How about playing a main generation Pokémon game either on the go, or on your big screen?! What starter will you be going with?
